Behind the Brand: The Story of MyLine and Its Mission
Every great product starts with a problem that someone couldn’t ignore. For MyLine, that problem was painfully simple: staying connected with family across borders was too expensive, too unreliable, and too stressful.
In late 2024, MyLine founder Amar Behura was living the same frustration millions of families face. Calls home to his parents in Bangladesh cost \$80–\$120 a month. WhatsApp dropped constantly on weak Wi-Fi. Roaming fees ate into travel budgets. Important moments — birthdays, emergencies, everyday check-ins — were limited by cost and connection quality. He knew there had to be a better way.
That frustration became the seed for MyLine — a mission to make global connectivity simple, affordable, and dependable for everyone, not just the privileged few.
The Journey: How MyLine Came to Life
Late 2024 – The Spark
Amar, then working in tech and traveling frequently between the US, Bangladesh, and Europe, became increasingly frustrated with international calling. Carrier rates were predatory. VoIP apps were inconsistent. Family calls felt like a luxury instead of a right. One \$142 phone bill after a month of travel was the final straw — he decided to build something better.
Early 2025 – First Prototype
Amar started coding nights and weekends, focusing on three pillars: ultra-low rates, rock-solid reliability, and dead-simple usability. Early versions combined VoIP calling, eSIM data integration, and offline fallback numbers. Friends and family became the first testers — most were shocked at how much cheaper and clearer calls became.
Mid-2025 – Official Launch
MyLine launched publicly in June 2025 with support for 150+ countries. Word spread quickly through Bangladeshi, Indian, Filipino, and Pakistani diaspora communities — groups that suffer most from high international rates. Within months, the app reached 50,000 downloads and earned 4.8+ stars across platforms.
Late 2025–2026 – Rapid Growth & Mission Focus
By early 2026, MyLine crossed 500,000 users and expanded to unlimited plans, regional data bundles, family sharing, and enhanced offline calling. The mission sharpened: connectivity should never be a barrier to family, work, or safety — no matter where you are or how much you earn.
MyLine’s Core Mission
“Make staying connected with the people who matter most simple, affordable, and reliable — regardless of borders, income, or network conditions.”
That single sentence drives every decision: pricing, features, coverage, support, and partnerships. MyLine exists so families don’t have to choose between love and budget, so travelers don’t face surprise bills, and so no one is cut off during emergencies.
What Sets MyLine Apart
“I built MyLine because I was tired of paying premium prices for mediocre service. I wanted something I’d be proud to give my own parents — clear calls, low cost, no stress. Every feature, every price point, every line of code is still built around that original frustration and that personal mission.”
The result is a product that feels personal because it was born from real pain — not corporate boardrooms or investor decks.
A Company Built for Connection, Not Just Profit
MyLine isn’t just another app. It’s the result of one person’s frustration turning into a mission that now helps hundreds of thousands of families, travelers, and workers stay close without breaking the bank.
If you’ve ever felt the sting of a high phone bill after talking to someone you love, or struggled to stay connected during travel, MyLine was made for you.
